Framing Studio Editor's Review
'Framing Studio' enables you to add various digital frames and effects to your pictures. It supports cropping, resizing, and rotating photos. The program offers many image effects to play with. You can use this software to sharpen, blur, colorize, or convert to grayscale any image that it can open. The supported file formats are GIF, JPG, BMP, ICO, EMF, WMF, and PNG.
Applying effects is very simple. After you open an image, you can create a frame around it. You can zoom in and out, as well as choose the background color on which the picture is displayed. Framing just the picture is also possible. You have several different frames from which to choose. These frames contain nice textures that can be applied on the border of your pictures.
I used the program to edit some of my pictures. It took me quite a while to add borders to 20 pictures, because I had to open each one separately. I would have liked the program to support batch processing, but it doesn't.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: It's only possible to undo the last operation. If you apply multiple effects, you won't be able to revert to the original picture, unless you re-open it.
In conclusion: This program is only useful if you don't have many pictures to modify. If you need to add borders or effects to multiple pictures, it could take a while.
